Orcs in the Webbe is proud to present, for the benefit of several audiences, it's first scenario for Hysterical Games' Spitfyre.

~

Background

It is a new day and the Dwarven Geier Squadron led by Hauptmann Dastardly has one mission, to stop the daring Gnome pilot Yankee Griffonnage on his albino Faucon from returning back to Gnome headquarters with the latest war updates. Can they do it this time, and will Unteroffizier Klunk’s improvements help or hinder?

Dwarf Air Force

One flight of four KreigAdler 109 Messervogel fighters.

Gnome Air Force

One flight of five Faucon fighters and one flight of one (albino) Faucon fighter.

Terrain

The action can be fought over either the green lands of Dun-Nomin or the blue sea before Branzhum, with no specific terrain require. A 6’ x 4’ board size is suggested.

Dwarf Objective

The Dwarf KreigAdler flight starts the game on the short Northern edge of the table (in a variant they could appear from mid-way up either the eastern or western table edge), in pursuit of the albino Faucon fighter.

The Dwarves can claim a major victory if they can destroy the albino Faucon AND destroy more other enemy airbeasts than they lose.

The Dwarves can claim a minor victory if they can destroy the albino Faucon OR destroy more enemy airbeasts than they lose.

Gnome Objective

The Gnome albino Faucon starts the game 12 + D6 inches in from the short Northern edge of the table (in a variant it could start the game a different number of inches in). It needs to reach and exit the Southern edge. The five Faucon flight starts the game on the southern table edge.

The Gnomes can claim a major victory if the albino Faucon can safely leave the table AND destroy more other enemy airbeasts than they lose.

The Gnomes can claim a minor victory if the albino Faucon can safely leave the table AND do not lose more than three Faucon.

Special Rules

Each of the Dwarf KreigAdler fighters must roll individually on the Advantages and Flaws tables, to represent the ‘improvements’ that Unteroffizier Klunk has made to their airbeasts.

Yankee Griffonnage’s albino Faucon automatically has the ‘racing breed’ advantage and ‘double vision’ flaw, and Yankee Griffonnage obviously counts as being an ‘Ace’ beast handler. The other Gnome Faucon’s don’t normally have advantages and flaws, but you may choose to roll if you like.
