A Flintloque Scenario by CJ Hooper
Catalucian rebels under the command of the infamous La Spiga clash with a crack squad of Wogan's Rifleorcs in a case of mistaken identity.

It was difficult being Catalucian, having lost your country to the invading Ferach Elves, the best wines confiscated and the coastal regions being settled by the Orcs of Albion seeking the sun. It was worse for one particular Dark Elf. Juan Inezmillion was unusual in that he was almost unique...
What struck everyone about his appearance was that he appeared to be an exact double of the Emperor Mordred. Everywhere he went people would hold up Ferach propaganda to his face and say that it was uncanny.
It didn’t take long for the news of Juan Inezmillion’s appearance to reach the ears of Major Wogan. An exact double of Mordred would be of great aid to the war effort with much false propaganda to boot!
To this end Major Wogan has arranged for a team of Orc Rifles to rendezvous with Juan at a disused barn and bring him to Wheeling-Turn for inspection.
The Ferach had no idea of Juan Inezmillion’s existence. Nothing could possibly go wrong...
Meanwhile...
La Spiga and her Catalucian guerrillas had camped in a remote valley not far from the marauding Ferach scouting parties. Theresa was brooding, it had been some time since she slew a Ferach Elf and her blood boiled but then La Spiga herself that espied the Emperor his very self disappearing into an abandoned barn lower in the valley.
Theresa couldn’t believe that her eyes, the very focus of her hatred was alone, unguarded and awaiting the kill. Hatred clouded her common sense and her reason took the night off. Rousing her troops La Spiga went to end the Emperor Morded’s life.....
Set Up
An abandoned barn in a Catalucian valley (not unlike the last one....)
Dark Elves
La Spiga – Veteran Dark Elf Geurilla
5 Dark Elf Guerillas
2 Mounted Outriders
As this game was for newbies to Flintloque all troops were Average save for the Unit Leaders who were Veterans (Yes, La Spiga was considerably weakened for the Noobs...)
The Dark Elves begin the game on the Southern End of the board.
Opposite them...
Orcs
5 Orcs Troopers
1 Orc Officer Veteran.
Victory Conditions
The Orcs need to get to the barn in the centre of the Board. Juan Inezmillion waits there. He becomes active when a model gets within 5cms of the barn. He has a horse waiting outside for him to use.
Once Juan has been activated, he comes under the control of the Orc player and will attempt to leave by the Orcs’ starting table edge.
The Dark Elves win if they kill the Emperor Mordred… and only then do they realise their mistake and that this is an imposter…
Authors Notes
The cynical of you may realise that this scenario is based around limited access to miniatures and by the desire of the author to use his two limited edition miniatures and the majority of his remaining but meagre collection. Bear with the author the scope of these scenarios will broaden as the Flintloque grows in popularity in the Hertfordshire region. Be kind with our adventures, the paint is still wet.

An Orcs in the Webbe Original! 'I Was Mordred's Double' was written exclusively for Orcs in the Webbe way back in July 2010. It was absent for many years due to a prior regeneration of the website not transferring everything over correctly. That wrong has now been righted and it returned on the 20th December 2023 as part of that year's Advent Calendar.
